Speak at City Council or other Commission meetings: (Schedule, Videos)
If we don't speak up, the City Council does not know what the residents want. Anyone can speak at a Council or Commission meeting. There is no citizenship or residency requirement or age limit. Kids have spoken on issues they care about at such meetings on traffic issues around schools, school overcrowding and other issues.
Before each meeting, there is Oral Communication, where any one can speak on any topic that's not on the agenda for up to 3 minutes. If the topic is on the agenda, you may speak once that agenda item comes up for discussion. If you wish to speak, fill out a blue speaker card and then wait for your name to be called. For any questions, you can ask the City Clerk at CityClerk@cupertino.org.
People have spoken about dangerous traffic condition on their street, office employees parking overflowing to neighborhood streets, noises or air pollution from nearby construction.
Express your opinions on the initiative, Vallco, development issues, traffic congestion, school overcrowding, safety or General Plan process. Whatever concerns you.
